This is actually a photo from Amsterdam. There were bikes everywhere with bike parking lots 3 stories tall. Everyone rode a bike from grandmas to mothers with 3 kids in the front of the bike. Men in suits, women in mini skirts. It was amazing - and no helmets.

They have only been doing this since bicycles were invented.
Yes I am being sarcastic. It's just that it seems Americans sometimes trade a false sense of security (like helmets are for some) for keeping their wits about them while riding a bicycle.
It's nice to know there are so many people using bicycles. It was similar in Vietnam. However, I know destinations in Europe are closer than many in the US. We have a lot more space in between our destinations.
It sounds as though you and Lian are having a great experience with Europe and one another! Good memories.
I'll look forward to hearing more!
